The ARMT Scholarship provided me the opportunity to live and work in London in the setting of one the world’s leading art schools at the Royal College of Art. It gave me a launchpad with which to pursue making and exhibiting art within an international context- and provided valuable lessons on overcoming the geographic distance that can be both a strength and burden to New Zealand artists.
Since then, I completed a PhD in painting at the University of Sydney, followed by a residency at the Cité internationale des Arts, in Paris, France. I am now living in Vienna, Austria.
