The Anne Reid Memorial Trust was established in 2004 to commemorate the life and work of

ANNE V.R. REID at CANTERBURY UNIVERSITY, THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE and

THE UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA.

The objectives of the trust are to provide funds for students from both AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY and

THE UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY in the subjects of ENGLISH, MUSIC, and ALL FORMS OF ART to

undertake post-graduate studies at suitable postgraduate establishments outside New Zealand.

Undergraduate students will be able to apply for a NZ$20,000 scholarship annually which should pay

part of the cost of study in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, U.S.A., Canada, British Isles, or Europe,

or any University with the facilities, and/or the faculty to expand the qualification for any

undergraduate from Canterbury or Auckland Universities.

The website will provide guidance on how best to apply for the scholarship, and it will, with the help

of all the successful recipients of the scholarship tell you where the students studied , plus accounts

of their academic and practical success following their final graduation. Contact addresses will be

available to enable undergraduates or new applicants to ask questions regarding courses available

and specialist Professors for particular courses.
